the diligent

The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
                                                     Proverbs 21:5

​Slow and steady wins the race!  Consistency over time yields progress thereby helping you to reach your goal. 

Anytime we try to achieve something quickly without thorough learning and hard work, we miss the value and work ethic that is required, and we’ll be hard pressed to reach success with what we’re doing.

Diligence means time, effort, consistency, hard work, patience, persistence, and first and foremost, passion which gives the motivation for what  you’re trying to do.

When a person has passion, they have the drive that's needed to accomplish something. Without passion, you’ll aim at nothing. 

Passion can’t be taught, it is caught. You must catch the passion. Anything you’re passionate about requires diligence, effort, consistency, hard work, patience, persistence, and motivation.

Talking about your passion is not enough. Telling others about it, is not enough. What have you done to execute what you’re passionate about? What are you doing right now with that passion that includes:
Effort
Consistency
Hard work
Patience
Time
Diligence
Persistence

Some people complain that no one is interested in helping them do what they want to do, using that as an excuse for having nothing to show for what they ‘say’ they are passionate about.

I have found that help will always ‘Find’ the persons who are already helping themselves. We live in an information driven society that makes it easier to find the resources to venture out on our own with certain things. There’s enough stimulating info out there to help anyone get started with what they want to do.

I’m generally more apt to help those who have already done a certain amount of work on their own. This shows me that they have followed their passion to some point, and now they are ready for the next step which is further help and instruction from someone more experienced in the same area of passion. 

It is important that we put our money where our mouth is. Invest in yourself first, before you look for others to invest in you! Investing in yourself might include the following:
Education
Workshops
Training

Investing in oneself means that you are willing to do whatever is necessary to feed the passion and help it to materialize.

Be patient enough to put in the time, along with the effort that is needed to learn your craft well. Once that is done, help will ‘Find’ you, provided you need additional assistance.

Remember, the mindset of the diligent operates this way.
